Rob La Mear
Rob, Fpweb.net’s founder, CEO and biggest evangelist - believes the best thing about Fpweb.net is its people and their energy, hands down. As a graduate of Notre Dame, Rob has lead lots of past lives as a window washer, golf artwork creator, accountant, pro soccer player and college soccer coach to name a few.
After dabbling in all of these trades, Rob started his own hosting company - FrontPages Web Hosting Network (later known simply as Fpweb.net). In 1999, Fpweb.net became the first company in the World to offer SharePoint on a hosted platform (back when SharePoint was simply known as “Team Services” for FrontPages).
Just this past year, Rob and his team achieved another first… the first in the world to host SharePoint 2010 – and were named as a 2010 finalist for Microsoft Partner of the Year. A rare tech mind trapped in a CEO’s body, Rob is a MCSE and is always quick to dive into the latest engineering and tech publications. As much as he likes his team and computer technology, Rob truly loves spending time with his daughters and being completely “unplugged” - fly fishing or joining a pickup game of soccer in the park. You can find more about Rob on the Fpweb.net Blog or on Twitter @fpwebRob.
