THE MISSION
Sharing
the Point South America 2012 is a community driven initiative designed to
help educate users about the potential of the SharePoint platform. The best
of the SharePoint Evangelists will be on tour presenting practical
applications for SharePoint in real world scenarios.
"Sharing the Point South America 2012" es una iniciativa conducida comunidad
de SharePoint diseñada para ayudar a educar a usuarios sobre el potencial de
la plataforma de SharePoint. El mejor de los evangelistas de SharePoint
estará en el viaje que presenta los usos prácticos para SharePoint en
panoramas del mundo real.
These events will consist of free, half-day SharePoint events made possible
through generous donations from our sponsors, Fpweb.net and AvePoint. The
ultimate goal of this tour is to promote SharePoint while educating and
galvanizing members of the local communities around the benefits of
SharePoint.
The featured speakers on the Sharing the Point South American Tour are
world-renowned SharePoint evangelists - Joel Oleson, Michael Noel, Paul
Swider, Mark Miller, Rob LaMear and Dux Raymond Sy. Each presenter will
provide sessions on real-world SharePoint experiences, lessons learned, best
practices and general knowledge to attendees. Bios for each of the tour

Sharing the Point
is free to attendees and is modeled along the lines of such popular
community-generated events as SharePoint Saturday. The STP South America
tour is scheduled to stop in the following cities:

1/23/2012 - Montevido, Uruguay
1/24/2012 -
Santiago, Chile
1/26/2012 - Villa las Estrellas, Antartica
DETAILS
Each stop on the
Sharing the Point tour will accommodate between 150-200 people. Please note
that SharePoint community events of this type have been known to reach
capacity within 24 hours of the opening of registration, and the waiting
list is typically between 200-300 people. Registration details for each stop
on the tour will be announced as soon as they become available, and will be
announced here on the STP site as well as on the blogs of the participants.
